Minnesota resident Monique Orieux has filed a class action lawsuit against CertainTeed Corporation alleging that the company's WeatherBoards fibercement siding is defectivly designed. The lawsuit alleges that the defective design causes the WeatherBoards siding to crack, warp, discolor, shrink, and in some cases fall off the building. Ms. Orieux is seeking monetary compensation, on behalf of herself and others in a similar situation, to replace her defective siding as well as a court order requiring CertainTeed to honor its warranty obligations.
